Founded in 2018, IAQS is a premier educational institute helping students to pursue Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance studies in India through a formal education system. The Bachelor’s and Master’s degree will be conferred by the University of Mumbai. Our campus is located at All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG), Andheri West, Mumbai.

This curated degree is a unique blend of Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance keeping in mind their growing interdependencies. Recent years have seen a huge upsurge in the need of statistical knowledge in the financial arena and at the same time growing actuarial opportunities in the quantitative finance domain.

With industry experience and a flair for training aspirants, we offer students a platform to pursue various professional degrees through the formal education route.

From The Program Director’s Desk

Over the past decade, as I’ve guided students through Actuarial and Data Science courses, two major challenges in education have stood out to me.

The first is the struggle faced by students pursuing professional qualifications. Juggling dual streams—one for their degree and another for certifications—often leaves them missing out on the collaborative and interpersonal learning that comes from a traditional classroom environment. Most professional courses, delivered through distance learning, lack this crucial aspect of personal connection.

The second is the limited availability of quality programs at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Many of the courses out there don’t quite prepare students for the real-world demands of Actuarial Science and related fields. This gap made me ask myself: How can we do better?

That question led to the creation of the Institute of Actuarial and Quantitative Studies (IAQS). At IAQS, we’ve built something truly unique—a learning space where technical expertise meets real-world relevance. Our programs aren’t just about academic success; they’re about shaping well-rounded individuals ready to thrive in the professional world.
